Playing on a phone? Turn it sideways. The game is built for a wide screen.

Web Dashers is a fan-made mod of the Geometry Dash web demo that runs in your browser. The play button above starts the original game from web-dashers.github.io. This page is an unofficial fan guide and hosts none of the game itself.

What is Web Dashers?

Web Dashers is a browser game that fans built on top of the free Geometry Dash demo from RobTop Games. It runs in a normal browser tab. We started a level without installing anything and without signing in.

It is still a beta. The title screen carries a Beta tag, and the update log that opens first is headed "Beta (expect bugs)". Take that at face value: things break, and the game changes often.

The game is made and hosted by the Web Dashers team. This site is separate from them. We point to their page and write down what we see when we play.

What you can do in Web Dashers

Everything here is on the main menu or one click away from it.

  • Main levels. The level select has 21 level slots, from Stereo Madness to Fingerdash, followed by a "Coming Soon!" page. Three of the slots show a lock and ask for 10, 20 and 30 coins. More in the levels guide.
  • Seven gamemodes. Cube, ship, ball, UFO, wave, robot and spider all work. Swing is not in yet. Controls for each are in the gamemodes guide.
  • Character Select. The button to the left of Play opens the icon kit, with a tab of icons for each gamemode and two rows of colours. The developers say icons from Geometry Dash 2.2 are not included yet. See the icon kit guide.
  • Level Editor. The button to the right of Play. Its menu has Create, Saved, Featured and Search; the other tiles are greyed out. The developers describe the editor as far from complete. See the level editor guide.
  • Online levels. Featured, name search and level ID search worked in our check on October 13, 2026. We also launched levels from the search results. These features depend on the game's servers. See online levels.
  • Practice mode. You enter it from the pause menu, and it lets you place checkpoints. See practice mode.
  • Extra options. Settings, then Options, has switches for Noclip, Show Hitboxes, Show Percentage, Show FPS and a Speedhack value, among others. See the settings guide.

How to start playing

From this page to your first jump takes five steps.

  1. Press the green play button in the player at the top of this page.
  2. Wait for the loading bar to fill. The first visit downloads a lot of files, so give it a moment and keep the tab in front.
  3. Close the update log with the X in its corner.
  4. Click the big play button in the middle of the menu.
  5. Use the arrows to pick a level, then click the level's name to start it. Stereo Madness comes first.

If the game does not show up, reload it. You can also play it directly on web-dashers.github.io.

Web Dashers controls

Web Dashers is a one-button game. On a keyboard, Space, the Up arrow and W all worked as that button in our test. So did a left click on the game.

What the button does depends on your gamemode. The game's own How To Play screens cover the basics:

  • Cube: tap to jump. Hold to keep jumping.
  • Ship: hold to fly up. Release to fly down.
  • Jump orbs: tap while your icon is touching an orb to use it.
  • Pause: press Esc, or use the pause button in the top right corner of a level. The pause menu has practice mode, resume, back to the menu and restart, plus music and sound sliders.

The ball, UFO, wave, robot and spider each use the button differently. All seven are explained in the Web Dashers gamemodes guide.

Web Dashers vs the Geometry Dash web demo

RobTop's own demo sits on the front page of geometrydash.com. When we opened it, its title screen had one play button and links to the app stores, and pressing play dropped us straight into a level.

Web Dashers puts a full menu around the same kind of game:

  • A level select with 21 slots, instead of a single play button.
  • Character Select and Level Editor buttons on the main menu.
  • An options screen with Noclip, hitbox display and other switches.
  • Practice mode with checkpoints.
  • Online levels, when the developers' server is up.

Web Dashers is a fan project. It is not made or endorsed by RobTop Games. If you enjoy it, the full Geometry Dash is available on Steam, the App Store and Google Play.

Web Dashers FAQ

Is Web Dashers free?

Yes. We opened the game and started Stereo Madness without paying, signing in or installing anything. Settings has an Account button, but we did not need it to play.

Is this the official Web Dashers site?

No. WebDashers.cc is an unofficial fan page. The original game lives at web-dashers.github.io. This page only points to that site and hosts none of the game.

Is Web Dashers made by RobTop?

No. Web Dashers is a fan project based on the Geometry Dash web demo. Geometry Dash itself is made by RobTop Games. This site is not connected to either of them.

Why is Web Dashers stuck on the loading screen?

Give it time first: the loading bar covers a lot of files. Keep the tab in the foreground, because browsers slow a game right down in a background tab. If it still hangs, reload it or open the original site.

Why won't online levels load?

The developers have described earlier outages caused by a daily server request limit. Name search, ID search and Featured worked in our check on October 13, 2026, so we cannot diagnose a later failure from that earlier explanation. Try again later or use the main levels.

Can I play Web Dashers on a phone?

The game's help screen says "Tap the screen to jump", so it is built for touch as well as a mouse. The play area is wide, so turn your phone sideways. We have only tested it on a desktop browser so far.

Which gamemodes are in Web Dashers?

Seven: cube, ship, ball, UFO, wave, robot and spider. We played all of them. Swing is not in the game yet. The gamemodes guide explains how each one controls.

Where do I report a bug in Web Dashers?

Not here: this site cannot fix the game. The developers take bug reports on their Discord and on GitHub issues.
